Please also note: we can’t help you heal from your past negative experiences through therapy if you are unwilling to engage, have no genuine desire to change, wish to improve but take no meaningful action, believe that nothing will work in your favour or choose to remain surrounded by toxic topics, stories, people and situations.
If you don’t have consistency in your treatment sessions, occasional sessions won’t help.
Therapeutic change is a collaborative process that requires your active participation, emotional openness and willingness to challenge unhelpful patterns. Psychology shows us that healing involves neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to rewire itself—but this only occurs when we consciously choose new responses and healthier environments.
Without your commitment to self-reflection, emotional regulation and behavioural change, progress remains limited. Avoiding toxic influences is essential, as they can repeatedly trigger trauma responses, reinforce negative belief systems and hinder emotional growth.
