Which of our treatments can help you to harness the Law of Attraction?
What is the Law of Attraction? The law of attraction was first introduced by the Buddha through the famous quote “what you have become is what you have thought”. While this quote is open to interpretation, many believe it means that your thoughts shape your experiences. The idea then spread to create karma and began to seep into more western cultures, and even had an impact upon on Christianity, as you can see from the quote; “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he”. It is a very powerful belief that has stood the test of time. This law gives people the ability to attract whatever it is they are focusing on. It is believed that it is like any other law of the universe, therefore equal to the laws of physics. The power of the mind can force whatever we focus on into reality. Basically, the idea is that the dominating thoughts, of our mind, turn into something physical. It makes sense if you focus on a certain thing for a long time you’re going to find things that relate to it. Such as if you constantly think negative thoughts you’re going to focus on the negative things that happen to you, or around you. Nobody really knows why this happens, but it would be denying reality to say it is false. Whatever thoughts you have, end up guiding you through life. But at the end of the day, it is your choice to focus on the positive or the negative. The law of attraction can be learned and used to our benefit, but we must become masters of our thoughts and emotions first. Is the law of attraction science fiction, or science fact? We now know that the law of attraction has been around for millennia, even modern celebrities have thanked the law for their success. Denzel Washington, Conor Mcgregor, Jim Carrey, and many others. But does it really work? Can it stand up to scientific scrutiny? It certainly seems that way. Studies have been conducted to find thinking positive can increase life satisfaction. As well as this neurologists have proven over and over again that visualization can improve life circumstances massively. Just by regularly focusing on what you want and what kind of person you want to become can have a drastic effect on your life. This is thought to be true because it starts to feel real before you have achieved the goal, making you act in a way that is in accordance with it. Crazily, simply thinking about what you want can help you get it. This sounds counterintuitive to most, it’s logical to think that doing more work is a much better use of time, but it may be this effort that is hindering your success. Furthermore, many psychologists have approved of affirmations. One study found that if a person constantly tells themselves they can meet a goal, they are much more likely to achieve it. Again, it is hard to say why this happens, but the facts cannot be ignored. Affirmations have also been proven to help with depression, trauma, and anticipatory planning. In addition, mirror neurons provide further evidence that the law of attraction may be true. These are neurons in our brains that mirror the behaviour we see in others. Have you ever been with friends, watching someone laugh and then begin to feel like laughing with them? This is mirror neurons in action. This means that being open to positivity will eventually spread to other people around you. This will then brighten your own life in return. It is a positivity loop. Furthermore, studies on the amygdala show that we make others feel nervous when we ourselves are nervous. We are tribal animals after all and this may have been helpful to us back then. Nevertheless, you cannot deny that thinking a certain way can have an effect on outside circumstances and even physical health. How can you get the law of attraction on your side? The main idea of the law of attraction is to focus on what you want. However, this can be very difficult when you have spent a lifetime focusing on what you don’t want. This is why it is essential to get your thoughts and mind under control. You have let parents, society and the media brainwash you into focusing on the negative. This doesn’t have to continue. If it does, your life will begin to look worse as you find new ways to reinforce your beliefs about the world. This is unconscious, and you have no control over it unless you take action. To control the law of attraction you must first understand and control your thoughts. This has been proven in numerous studies like the ones mentioned above. This sounds extremely simple but is in no way easy. If you are depressed and addicted to negative thinking patterns these can be very hard to break, your subconscious will not be on your side. It is easy to say “just focus on what you want” but how do you actually do this. Guided meditation can help calm your mind so these negative thoughts have less of a hold on you. You will become an observer to them, not attached. With practice, you will begin to stop focusing on the bad thoughts. You will begin to stop viewing the world in such a negative way, because when the internal changes the external changes. You will begin to dictate the environment and not the environment dictate you. This is very powerful and the first step in getting the law of attraction on your side. Lastly, to fully own the law of attraction you need to internalize what you want to focus on, not what you think you want but really want. A coach can help you through this giving you affirmations to repeat to attract the life you want. This will be the starting point of a more positive existence where you can start to feel like you have control over your life.
